Two labourers were burnt to death in a fire that broke out in a furniture manufacturing factory here on Friday.
"The fire broke out around 1.45 p.m. at a four-storied building. The furniture manufacturing factory was situated on the ground floor," M.N. Anucheth, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru West, told reporters.
The owner of the building resides on the second floor and a madrasa was functioning on the third and fourth floors.
The Fire and Emergency Services personnel rescued 10 persons, including four children and three women, from the building.
"We have identified the deceased as Mehtab, 27, and Abdul Hafiz, 35. The bodies were shifted to Victoria Hospital for postmortem," the DCP said.
