Two notorious extortionists have been arrested in the capital, police said on Thursday.
Deepak Sarkar and Arun Kumar, both 26, were arrested last week from Delhi Cantonment area where they had gone to sell a stolen motorcycle.
Police said Sarkar, first arrested in 2009 in a theft case, was an accused in 12 criminal cases.
"He came out of jail in December 2014 after serving three years for theft and started extorting money," Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Ravindra Yadav said.
His associate Arun has been involved in 36 criminal cases and convicted in six of them.
