Two liquor shop employees were killed when a mob set the shop on fire in this Madhya Pradesh district, Superintendent of Police Gaurav Tiwari said.
Some people attending a wedding in Temni village on Sunday night sought to buy liquor at the shop but haggled over the price, Tiwari said.
The argument turned violent when scores of people gathered and attacked the shop, setting it on fire, he said.
The two shop attendants identified as Ram Vilas Yadav, 22, and Amrendra Singh, 25, were burnt to death in the fire, he said.
The police has arrested 15 people, including two main accused, Tiwari said.
