UAE charity distributes 20 tonnes of dates in Jordan

Amman (Jordan), Aug 4 (IANS/WAM) The Al Maktoum Charity Authority from the UAE has distributed 20 tonnes of dates in Zarqa governorate in Jordan.

The philanthropic organisation distributed the dates through the Al Maktoum Centre and Mosque on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

Half of the amount was dispatched to the Zarqa Governorate Awqaf Directorate, where it was distributed to underprivileged families. The other 10 tonnes were distributed to a number of charitable societies.
