Abu Dhabi, July 9 (IANS/WAM) The United Arab Emirates' (UAE) President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered releasing 973 prisoners, serving different jail terms, on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
Sheikh Khalifa pledged to settle all the prisoners' financial commitments resulting from their court cases. The release comes as part of the president's keenness to give the inmates a chance to resume new life and ease suffering of their families.
