An undertrial woman, accused of killing her husband, allegedly committed suicide in a Bihar jail on Wednesday, officials said.
Pammi Devi allegedly committed suicide in the women's ward of the jail in West Champaran district.
"Pammi hung herself in the Bagha jail," district police official Subash Mukhia said.
According to police, Pammi was arrested in early February in connection with her involvement in the murder of her husband Vijay Shah and sent to judicial custody.
"She was depressed after being sent to jail and was not interacting with anyone," police said.
Mother of three minors, Pammi and her lover murdered her husband with a sharp weapon after he objected to her extra-marital relationship with his elder brother Sanjay Shah.
