Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday hailed the BJP's victory in the Tripura assembly elections and credited the 'lotus bloom' to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's policies vis-a-vis the northeast.
Talking to reporters at the Gorakhnath temple in Gorakhpur before leaving for the state capital, the Chief Minister said the Modi ensured the implementation of policies tailormade for the northeastern states.
He said the Union Ministers were given the task to ensure these policies reflected on the ground as well.
Electoral management of Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah also paid rich dividends, said Adityanath who was was one of the 'star campaigners' of the party in northeast elections. He addressed seven rallies in all in the run-up to the three state elections.
