UP minister escapes unhurt in road accident
Uttar Pradesh Education Minister Mehboob Ali had a miraculous escape Tuesday evening when his car was hit by a speeding bus, police said.
The accident took place at Mohanlalganj when the minister was returning from a visit to Allahabad.
Inspector Santosh Singh of Mohanlalganj told IANS that when the minister's motorcade was crossing Harkanshgadhi, a speeding bus hit his car from behind.
His driver and a police personnel sustained injuries while Ali escaped unhurt.
The driver of the state government bus was on the run and efforts were on to arrest him, police said.
