Sangeeta, the widow of Havildar Ashok Kumar Singh who was killed along with 17 of his comrades in the Uri terror attack, on Monday said she wanted nothing but revenge for their deaths.

"I dont't want anything, all I want is revenge for the deaths of the soldiers.

"My husband was just 42 years old, how would I live my life now... what help will I seek from the government? I have only one wish... whether it's Pakistani army, terrorists or even the Prime Minister... nobody should be spared," she said.

Ashok Singh had worked his way up the ranks to become a non-commissioned officer. Before him, his elder brother Kamta Singh was also killed in a terrorist attack in Rajasthan in 1986.

His eldest son and two sons of Kamta Singh are also in the army.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday announced Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia each to three soldiers, including Ashok Singh, hailing from Bihar, who were killed in the terror attack on Sunday.
