Miami International Airport has launched a new mobile app that enables passengers to submit their passport and customs declaration information through a smartphone.
The app, developed by the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will save time on the part of the passengers while filling up of traditional paper forms.
There will be "dedicated lanes" for mobile passport users, CBS reported quoting airport officials.
The free app is available to US citizens with a valid US passport and Canadian citizens with both a valid Canadian passport and B1 or B2 visa status.
Those who download the app will be asked to set up a profile using passport information.
The app also allows families travelling together to create multiple profiles.
