Former chief minister Vasundhara Raje figures in the first list of 176 candidates announced by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the Dec 1 Rajasthan assembly elections, said party sources.
According to sources, there are around 20 women, 24 Scheduled Tribes, 30 Scheduled Castes and 35 youth candidates in the list.
Vasundhara Raje will contest from the Jalra Patan seat.
Others who have been fielded include Gulab Chand Kataria from Udaipur, Phool Singh Meena from Udaipur rural reserved constituency and Rajendra Rathore from Churu.
The Rajasthan house has 200 members.
The BJP's central election committee will consider the candidates for Madhya Pradesh and Delhi assembly polls Wednesday, said party sources.
