The Gurugram Special Task Force (STF) has arrested a dreaded Haryana criminal who carried a bounty of Rs 1 lakh on his head, police said on Thursday.
The criminal was identified as Jitender alias Jeeta, a resident of Tandaheri village near Haryana's Jhajjar district.
Acting on a tip off, the STF team arrested Jitender from the under-construction Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) expressway near his village.
He was involved in two cases of murder and attempt to murder.
Police said he was awarded a jail term of 20 years by a Haryana court.
"Jitender was in jail and came out on parole but did not return," said a senior police officer.
"A pistol, cartridges and a Pulsar bike were also recovered from his possession," the police officer added.
