India skipper Virat Kohli admitted that his team was 20-30 runs short after Pakistan clinched a one-wicket thriller in the Asia Cup here Sunday.

Kohli said he was proud of his boys and praised the young bowlers for their performance.

"The guys put in a good effort after a modset total. Not letting them get used to one bowler was the idea says Virat Kohli. (Amit) Mishra was getting it to turn and I kept him for the end. (Ravichandran) Ashwin was confident of bowling in the death as well," said Kohli.

The Delhi boy feels the match could have gone either way.

"It could have gone either way. India were 20-30 runs short with the bat. I am proud of the way India have played in the last two games. The young bowlers also did well," he said.

Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq said the win was important was happy that it came under tense conditions.

"Hafeez and Maqsood did well and Afridi finished it for us perfectly. We knew there was a dew and we just wanted to keep ourselves in the game. I'd be happy to keep getting out if Pakistan win. We are not looking ahead to the final yet, just taking one game at a time," he said.
