Catalan football giants FC Barcelona on Tuesday announced that Cameroonian international midfielder Alex Song will play on a season-long loan for English Premier League (EPL) club West Ham United.
"FC Barcelona and West Ham United have agreed a deal for Cameroonian midfielder Song to rejoin the Premier League club on loan for the 2015-16 season," Barcelona said in a statement.
Under the leadership of former Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova, the 27-year-old, who joined Barcelona in the summer of 2012 from Arsenal, played in 34 official matches in which he scored a goal.
In his second season at Barcelona (2013-14), coached by Gerardo 'Tata' Martino, Song participated in 31 games.
Last summer, he was loaned to West Ham where he proved himself as part of the English outfit, playing in 65 games.
