Late singer Whitney Houston's biopic focussing on her relationship with her husband and singer Bobby Brown will be premiered in 2015.
Angela Bassett will make her directorial debut with the film titled "Whitney Houston", which will follow the late star's rocky relationship with Brown, reports eonline.com
Houston, one of the world's best-selling and highly-awarded music artists, separated from the 45-year-old in 2006, and their divorce was finalised in 2007.
The Oscar-nominee is thrilled to direct the movie and feels responsible for telling Houston's story, following the singer's death in February 2013, when she was aged 48.
"I have such regard for both Whitney's and Bobby's amazing talents and accomplishments, and I feel a responsibility in the telling of their story. Their humanity and bond fascinates us all. I'm beyond excited to have this opportunity to go behind the camera and into their world," said Bassett.
Houston was found dead in a hotel in Beverly Hills.
