Producer T.P. Aggarwal, who recently wrapped up shooting for Sanjay Dutt starrer "Policegiri", says the actor's wife Manyata "may step in" to promote the film, but clarified nothing has been "finalised" yet.
"We have not decided how to promote the film. Manyata may step in, but I can't confirm on that. I will have a meeting with Sanjay before we decide anything," Aggarwal told IANS.
"Sanjay has finished the shooting a few days back. He has even finished the dubbing, so the film is ready," he added.
Sanjay, whose was hoping to get relief in 1993 Mumbai blasts, is expected to surrender on May 16 after Supreme Court Friday rejected his review petition.
The actor's conviction under the Arms Act in 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case was upheld by the apex court.
The top court, while upholding Sanjay's conviction under the Arms Act, has reduced his sentence from six years to five years. With the rejection of his plea, he is expected to surrender to serve his remaining three-and-half-year term.
Agagrwal said: "It's very sad that his plea was rejected. He has already suffered a lot. I am still hoping things might change."
Aggarwal feels "Policegiri" is one of Sanjay's best works so far.
"The film is looking really good. I can assure you this is one of Sanjay Dutt's best work so far. The film is slated for July 5 release and I believe we have made a good film."
"Policegiri", a Hindi remake of 2003 Tamil hit "Saamy", is directed by K.S. Ravi Kumar and it also features Prachi Desai in the female lead.
