A woman and her daughter were killed on Thursday inside their house in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh, police said.
Superintendent of Police Deepak Verma said four unidentified criminals barged into the house of panchayat official Bhupendra Singh in Obaidullahganj nagar panchayat on Thursday afternoon and killed Singh's wife Mridula and daughter Prateeksha with a sharp-edged weapon.
The police officer said the motive behind the crime was not known as yet and police have launched a manhunt for the absconding suspects after registering a case.
