A 24-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her home after strangulating her five-month-old daughter to death in Delhi, police said Tuesday.
The incident was reported from Dwarka Sector-15 in west Delhi Monday night, police said.
Rajni, who got married with Rinku three years ago, killed her daughter Drishya and hanged herself.
"As no suicide note was recovered from Rajni's possession, the reason behind her extreme step is yet to be known," said a police official.
"Victim's husband and family members are being questioned if she was depressed over some issue or there was any other reason that forced her to commit suicide," said the official.
