A worker, trapped in a lift Friday afternoon in a commercial complex in Noida, adjoining Delhi, has been rescued, a company official said.
The incident took place in the Silver Tower complex in sector 18.
"Today at WAVE Silver Tower in Noida, a worker got stuck in the lift. As he was not aware of the panic button and lift functioning, he dialled 100 for emergency help," Ranjit Singh Randhawa, general manager, WAVE Silver Tower, said in a statement.
"The technical team at the premises reached there immediately and helped in the evacuation. The situation is completely under control and the worker is safe and has resumed work," Randhawa said.
Earlier a police official said four people were stuck in the elevator as it suddenly stopped working.
