The sixth World Traditional Wushu Championships kicked off Sunday here in east China's Anhui Province.
More than 2,000 athletes from over 45 countries and regions will participate in the championships, the organisers said, reports Xinhua.
The World Traditional Wushu Championships, sponsored by the International Wushu Federation, is currently among the world's largest, and most influential sports events of martial arts.
The championships are held every two years. The previous five editions of this event were held in China's Zhengzhou city, Shiyan city and Huangshan city.
