The early onset of fog in some parts of northern India caused a major pile-up on the Yamuna Expressway on Thursday leaving around a dozen people injured, police officials said.
The pile-up on the road from Delhi to Agra took place in the Sureer Kotwali area near Mathura as more than 10 cars hit one another due to poor visibility caused by the fog, a police officer informed IANS.
At least two persons received serious injuries, the police added. The exact location of the incident was milestone 82 on the road from Noida to Agra.
Many such incidents are reported on this expressway at this time of the year.
