Singer Zayn Malik proposed to long-time girlfriend Perrie Edwards and the couple is now officially engaged.

Edwards, 20, flaunted a three-diamond engagement ring on the red carpet of forthcoming movie "This Is Us", which stars Malik, 20, and other members of his One Direction band, reports people.com.

A representative of the band confirmed the news by saying: "Zayn and Perrie are engaged, but any further detail regarding their relationship is private."

The couple has been dating for over a year now and have been open about their love for each other.
