The Congress' chief ministerial candidate for Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh, will not take a summer break this year, unlike other years.

After kicking off Coffee with Captain, a mass contact programme, he has announced another initiative, Halke Vich Captain (Captain in the Constituency).

Starting next week, Singh plans to visit all 117 constituencies in the state as it gears up for Assembly elections in 2017.

What is surprising is his persistence: the 74-year-old former state Congress chief has been hosting contact programmes almost every day, meeting students, joining demonstrations against drugs and doing things he hasn't done for many summers now.
