West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has finally identified the key reason why her government hasn't been able to push forward the development agenda to her satisfaction. During a public meeting at Dankuni in Hooghly district, she said the erstwhile state government led by the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) had hatched a conspiracy by taking on huge debt during its final years in power so that the party that took over would not be able to work. "Despite their (CPI-M) conspiracy we have been able to carry forward many development works," Banerjee claimed.
