With the CPI(M)’s Central Committee meeting scheduled to be held at Vijaywada, journalists in the Capital asked General Secretary Prakash Karat to release the two resolutions — on West Bengal and Kerala — in New Delhi itself. Karat smiled and said, “You will get them if you come to Vijayawada for the Central Committee meeting from August 7 to 9”. Then, one journalist asked, “Can we get the resolutions on August 7 itself?” Karat offered a broader smile and said, “If you come to Vijayawada on August 6, I will give the copies.”
