Revenue Secretary Shaktikanta Das, who spoke before S Raman of Sebi at the event mentioned above, recalled how the government had sorted several tax issues in double-quick time. He cited the example of Gopal Srinivasan, chairman and managing director, TVS Capital Funds, who had brought to him some issues related to private equity exits. "I asked Gopal: Why are you thinking of an exit now? You have only started. We can look at it in February 2016," said Das with his tongue tucked firmly in his cheek. On a serious note, even that issue was under active consideration, he pointed out.
