As speculation about a possible association between Arvind Kejriwal and noted actor Kamal Haasan gathers pace, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shipping and Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Nitin Gadkari met with some probing questions about south star Rajinikanth and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday. Gadkari was slated to address a press conference to brief the media on the political resolution the BJP national executive passed. He was to start his briefing at 2pm, but got delayed because of a traffic jam near the venue at Talkatora Stadium in central Delhi. Always a courteous man, Gadkari started his briefing by apologising profusely. When asked whether Rajinikanth was joining the BJP, Gadkari said the Tamil film star was a good friend of his, but he hadn’t met him in some time.
