After the UPA government has returned to power, key government buildings hosting important ministries are finally getting a facelift. In Shastri Bhawan, the address of at least eight major ministries, including Human Resource Development, Chemicals and Fertilisers, Information and Broadcasting, etc, decoration work is on in full swing. The dingy corridors with wires hanging haphazardly all around will soon be a thing of the past in Shastri Bhawan. New false ceilings with the latest light fittings are being installed. There are new marble floors as well. Even the furniture is getting replaced.
