Those who thought new Karantaka CM Sadananda Gowda would be his own man might be overly optimistic. At an interaction at the Bengaluru Press Club recently, reporters pointed out to him that State Excise Minister Renukacharya was touring the state with former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa all the time instead of attending to work. To this, Gowda retorted: “He can go anywhere, the jurisdiction of his department, after all, lies on the streets (read bars and wine stores)”. He added he would not betray Yeddyurappa and announced he would meet him every week.
