Flying VIPs in an aircraft or a chopper always adds to the pressure on the pilots. On Wednesday, a few pilots had an additional task as Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee was hopping around Assam for an election tour. Mukherjee was very keen to follow the score of India’s semi-final match against Pakistan during the flight. The pilots of his chopper, constantly in touch with the Air Traffic Control authorities, regularly kept him updated with the score. When Mukherjee reached his residence around 9 pm, he told his staff to switch on the match and not allow visitors to disturb him.
