On his visit to India Henry Kravis, co-founder of private equity firm KKR & Co, spoke extensively on the big initiatives President Donald Trump is planning for the US and why he might find it difficult to push some of them through. Despairing on the lack of dialogue between the Democrats and the Republicans, he said, ‘‘I have never seen a time in America, where you have such divergent groups and views. The Democrats and Republicans don’t speak to each other anymore, and now I’m not even sure the Republicans speak to each other either.”
