West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has declared that she is not a feminist but a humanist, though how the two are contradictory is anyone's guess. During a question and answer session on Facebook last week, Banerjee was asked by one Suman Haldar what she planned to do for the men in the state.
Her response: "I am not a feminist. I am a humanist and will take care of every human being. I will take care of all humanity." When another person, Hasan Ali, offered to compose a victory song for Trinamool Congress (TMC), she replied: "Send it to Derek." Quizmaster Derek O'Brien is a TMC Member of Parliament and party spokesperson. Thanks to her style, one admirer, Suman Shome, posted: "Didi love you." Didi's frank response: "Love you too."
