We do not know if it was this, or his loyalty to the Congress first family that resulted in one of Congress front-runners for the Karnataka chief minister's post, Siddaramaiah, telling the media in his first post-results comments, "I wish to thank Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Manmohan Gandhi."
