When asked by the anchor of a TV show on how he divided his time between politics and cricket commentary, Sidhu quipped, “Cricket is my wife and politics is my mistress.” On realising that his remark sounded politically incorrect, the former India batsman was quick to add, “Let me put it in a different way — cricket is my passion and politics is currently my profession.”
