At the Petroleum and Natural Gas Board (PNGRB) meeting, someone asked its chairman L Mansingh about the board’s future, given that the Delhi High Court had ruled it had no power to issue city gas licences as Section 16 of the PNGRB Act had not been notified. Mansingh said he had enough powers, but before he explained why, he said, “Hame Rajpath pe ghas kaatne ke liye to nahi banaya (we were not formed to cut grass on Rajpath).”
