It seems the desire to listen to US President Barack Obama live in the joint session of Parliament was a bit too strong for Lok Sabha Member of Parliament (MP) Tarun Mandal. Even after being directed by his party, the Socialist Unity Centre of India, to boycott the session, the MP from Joynagar in West Bengal decided to be present in the production control room of Lok Sabha Television to listen to Obama. He was present all through the speech. Except Forward Bloc, other Left MPs were present in the Central Hall when Obama delivered his speech.
