Small but basic lapses betray the disarray in state-owned Air India. Mahindra & Mahindra Vice-Chairman Anand Mahindra and then Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry General Secretary Amit Mitra may have resigned from the Air India board, but their names are still listed among the board of directors on the airline’s website. Mahindra resigned in March and Mitra, who is now the finance minister of West Bengal, in April this year.
