Among other things, the unceremonious ouster of former Railway Minister Pawan Bansal from his post deprived him of an official opportunity to escape the capitals debilitating summer heat. This was courtesy a planned tour to Jammu & Kashmir, where he was headed with some journalists to showcase the Railways achievements in that troubled state. Not surprisingly, as the temperatures soar into the forties, the journalists who were originally slated for that trip are now anxiously enquiring about the fate of that tour from his successor C P Joshis office.
