At the dinner hosted for the Games by Subroto Roy of Sahara yesterday, the themed Indian settings were interspersed with large placards apologising for any unforeseeable inadequacies at the party. The reason: permissions were secured only at the last minute leaving organisers with little time at hand to organise the entire affair. The invitations for the dinner had been sent in Kalmadi’s name.
