The World Council for Corporate Governance has withdrawn the Golden Peacock Global Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance it gave Satyam last year, but in the rush of events, the company’s website has not yet removed it from its list of awards on its website. The website, much to the embarrassment of various firms who’ve given it awards in the past, continues to flash that P Ramalinga Raju is the E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year in 2007. The website’s section on corporate governance continues to contain the company’s corporate governance report for 2007, its principal corporate governance practices and the code of conduct and ethics for directors and associates — removing these in the light of what’s happened, would be too much of a giveaway!
