Politicians as NPAs

Winston Churchill believed that politics was not a game but an earnest business. If you agree with him, it is time to change and listen to West Bengal Commerce and Industries Minister Partha Chatterjee. For him, performance hardly matters in politics. Addressing a business community recently, the minister said, “It is not necessary for politicians to perform. But you businessmen should. Even if politicians don’t perform, based on popularity they can win elections.” A businessman hearing this quipped that politicians are the country’s real non-performing assets.
