Why is cricketer and former MP from Amritsar Navjot Singh Sidhu trying to become an MP from Amritsar again? His record as a representative of the people in the 14th Lok Sabha appears to suggest he believes silence is golden. He asked only 0.38 per cent of the questions and attended the House only for 6 per cent of the time. Lok Sabha records say BJP’s Lok Sabha MP from Gurdaspur, Vinod Khanna, who is also contesting the seat again, had just four questions to ask the government and spoke only twice in the discussions. His average attendance was 5.5 per cent.
