Minister of Textiles Smriti Irani started the hashtag #cottoniscool to promote use of cotton fabrics in summer and retweeted dozens of photographs with the hashtag through her official Twitter account. The only glitch is, many of the photographs were of people sporting fabric other than cotton. A large chunk of users posted pictures in non-cotton attires tagging the Twitter handle. The minister retweeted all the pictures probably without examining them thoroughly.
