Star-struck

Actor Karisma Kapoor was in the Supreme Court on Tuesday. Journalists, who cover the apex court as their beat, tweeted how "even the court was star-struck" by her appearance. She was in court for a hearing on a plea by her estranged husband Sunjay Kapur seeking transfer of the couple's divorce proceedings from Mumbai to Delhi. The two judges directed that the hearing be shifted to the judge's chamber. This, after Kapoor's presence led to dozens of people turning up inside and outside the courtroom to get a glimpse of the actor, making it difficult for lawyers and court officials to do their work. Kapoor was then escorted out of the courtroom through the crowded corridor and to the judge's chamber.
