The name matters

Official profiles of dignitaries listed on government documents usually contain their full names. The Supreme Court directory of judges, however, does not follow this rule. For instance, it lists the name of the chief justice designate as T S Thakur.

The consequence is that only his initials are used in most reports, and people dare to spell his first name diversely: Tirath, Teerath etc. What Thakur could do after assuming his new role is to clear the confusion over his first name. He could also consider issuing an ordinance so that the full names of judges are listed in the judges' profiles and directory.
