Threat to selfies

If you are in the habit of taking selfies and using selfie sticks to have a better handle on things, you might have to skip New York museums on your next visit to the city. The Museum of Modern Art in New York is one of the first in the city to officially ban the stick. The Guggenheim and The Frick Collection no longer allow them inside, while the Metropolitan Museum of Art hasn't reached a decision yet. The reason for the restriction is the threat of accidental damage to exhibits and artwork. Also, stopping to pose for a selfie could ostensibly lead to congestion in already crowded museums.
