In a market that’s so crowded, everyone’s looking for new ways to hook the customers. Tata Indicom’s latest Blackberry service, called My Blackberry, has one such innovation. Instead of your number flashing on the phone of the person you’re calling, your name flashes. So, even if the person you’re calling doesn’t have your number in his/her phone book, the name will still flash on the screen. The service, on dual-mode phones sold by the company, runs on the Tata CDMA network while in India, but automatically switches on to GSM networks while you’re abroad, on the networks with which Tata Indicom has tied up.
