ONGC Tripura Power Company will supply 100 Mw from Palatana to Bangladesh

Taking ahead south Asian energy cooperation, India will open another window for power trading with Bangladesh. ONGC Tripura Power Company will supply 100 Mw from Palatana to Bangladesh.

India already sells 500 Mw to Bangladesh from NTPC's Bhemara power plant in West Bengal. Bangladesh buys another 300 Mw from the open market. Tawfiq-e-Elahi, energy advisor to the Bangladesh prime minister, said they were looking to buy another 500 Mw from India by 2016.
