BJP, CPI(M) unite against TMC MPs
BS ReporterThe Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Communist Party of India (Marxist) or CPI(M) on Tuesday found a common cause against the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in the Lok Sabha.
The two parties threatened a censure motion against TMC member of Parliament Kalyan Banerjee for the use of "foul language" against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri.
The CPI(M) also demanded a censure motion against TMC MP Tapas Pal, too, for having asked his party workers during the Lok Sabha elections to kill CPI(M) workers and "rape their women".
BJP leader S S Ahluwalia raised the issue of Banerjee's use of "offensive language" against Modi and BJP national secretary Siddharth Nath Singh at a rally in Kolkata on Sunday. Singh is the grandson of former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri.
