Community feasts held in Mizoram

Community feasts were held in almost all the villages and urban localities to mark the end of the Christmas celebrations in Christian-dominated Mizoram today.

While the festive celebrations were by and large peaceful, some incidents of drunken brawls were reported from a few places in Aizawl last night.

Meanwhile, two youths were crushed to death by a speeding truck near the Assam Rifles Quarter Guard in the centre of Aizawl city this afternoon.
